I recently heard a HORROR STORY from a Realtor about how she was sued by her former clients for referring a Home Inspector who did a terrible job.
Evidently, the Home Inspector missed multiple serious issues with the house that she had sold her clients.
At first, the law suit suggested that the Seller, Realtor, and Home Inspector all conspired against the buyers to purposely sell them a house that was known to have problems. That simply wasn’t the case, but in the end she was still found liable for “negligent referral,” and it cost her dearly.
