Most people never think about circuit breakers, but they can be one of the most important safety mechanisms in your homes If electrical wiring has too much power, the breakers are there to cut the power before equipment failures, electrical hazards, & fires. We recommend you test them every six months or so. First, have some proper spare breakers on hand, because if you find a defective one, it will not reset and will need to be replaced. Second, you should identify the main breaker, if you have one, or any breaker powering critical equipment. You may not want to trip those breakers, but be sure you have those size & type spares over all others. Finally, turn each breaker off and then back on, one by one. Make sure they kill power to the area they should & then reset.

Wonderful .. I cant wait to learn far more from you. This is really a wonderful website.
Correct, from your first line. I never thought to check, but I can see how doing so is very important. I have added this to my semi-annual list of things to do, check, test, around the house. Thanks for the recommendation.
