For Immediate Release: Social Distancing Home Inspections.
Florida April 2, 2020 – Sherlock Home Inspections is OPEN FOR BUSINESS. We are “essential,” and following CDC Guidelines.
Even as of the latest Executive Order from the Governor yesterday, under the section entitled Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce (pages 17 & 18), the Real Estate industry has been deemed essential because housing is essential. Home Inspectors fall under the Real Estate industry AND we are also essential because we inspect for and report health and safety issues.
Sellers, Buyers, & Realtors absolutely may accompany the Home Inspector during the inspection. However, we ask that anyone experiencing ANY symptoms of illness &/or anyone who has traveled outside the state recently PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND. Furthermore, it is not a requirement for anyone but the Home Inspector to be present for the Home Inspection. We are fully licensed and insured. We can let ourselves in & lock up when we’re done. Our inspection report is very thorough and easy to read, includes photos, etc. AND we don’t consider a job to be complete until all of your questions are answered.
Sherlock Home Inspections is not only following, but exceeding guidelines from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as recommended from both the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) & the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) to prevent catching or spreading Coronavirus (COVID-19).
First, Home Inspectors who are experiencing ANY symptoms of illness &/or have traveled outside the state recently, are not conducting Home Inspections.
We have suspended all Apprenticeship programs and training of new Home Inspectors.
Each inspection will be conducted by ONE Licensed Professional Home Inspector to minimize human interaction.
